What does low-pressure pre-infusion do?
Low-pressure pre-infusion gently wets the coffee grounds before full extraction. This helps promote more even water flow and a more balanced espresso.
Can I customize my espresso?
Yes. You can adjust the brewing temperature and single or double shot volume to match different coffee beans and taste preferences.
What drinks can I make with the ULTRA™?
You can make single or double espresso, Americano, latte, cappuccino and other milk-based drinks. The machine also dispenses hot water for Americanos, tea and warming your cup.
Is milk frothing automatic?
No. The ULTRA™ uses a manual steam wand, allowing you to control the milk temperature and texture yourself. It takes a little practice but offers greater control over microfoam and latte art.
Does the ULTRA™ include a built-in grinder?
No. A separate coffee grinder is required for whole beans. Pairing the machine with a burr grinder gives you more control over grind size and espresso extraction.
Does the machine clean itself?
The ULTRA™ includes a descaling reminder and descaling function, but the steam wand does not clean itself. Wipe and purge the steam wand after every use, and rinse the portafilter and drip tray regularly.
